Physical and spiritual Training

Chicago Karate Champions offers a holistic approach to martial arts, combining both physical and spiritual training in order for students to portray good manners, adhere to discipline, cultivate positive attitudes and build self-confidence. Based on Shotokan karate, our programs enable students to grow emotionally and learn about the importance of respect, self-control, concentration and setting goals for themselves.

Continuous Progress

Our methods are progressive, using belt promotions as strong motivators for students to constantly strive for the best. As our students get older and become more advanced, their training develops into a more serious and intense workout. At the same time, it still continues to provide them with an engaging experience. Due to these aspects, our programs cater to all different types of individuals, regardless of their age or range of skills.

Discipline, Focus and Respect

Through our karate training initiatives, we advocate the following core principles to all of our students by demonstrating the importance of discipline, focus and respect:

  • Never give up
  • Be true to yourself
  • Always try your best
  • Aim to perfect your character
  • Adhere to disciplinary practices
  • Stay focused on the task at hand
  • Respect yourself and everyone around you
  • Refrain from engaging in violence and misbehavior

In addition to promoting fundamental values that apply to martial arts and life in general, our goal is to cultivate karate experts who are qualified to participate in tournaments at the local and state levels. We also aim to make our black-belt students eligible for competing as part of the USA Open and other renowned events hosted by the USA National Karate-do Federation (USA-NKF).
